We are strengthening our sustainability journey with a new local partnership that turns our everyday paper waste into new, valuable products. As global resource consumption continues to rise, we believe that we must take responsibility by choosing solutions based on recycling, reuse, and circular resource flows.
That’s why we are proud to announce our new collaboration with Papirværk, a Danish circular paper factory based in Odense. Papirværk specializes in helping companies transition to circular paper usage by collecting their paper waste and transforming it into new, handcrafted products, all produced locally and without chemicals, glue, or virgin fibres.
A Local Partnership with Real Impact
Papirværk was founded with a simple goal: to fight paper waste by keeping materials in circulation instead of letting them be burned or shipped abroad. Their model is built on a 100% Danish value chain, where discarded paper is collected, processed, and returned as new products, thus creating a closed loop where nothing is wasted.
Through this partnership, GreenTec’s own paper waste will be collected by Papirværk, recycled locally in Odense, and delivered back to us as meaningful, sustainable paper products. This further supports our circular workflow and our efforts to minimize our environmental footprint and strengthens our green profile by using responsibly sourced materials that come from our own waste streams.
Why This Partnership Strengthens GreenTec’s Green Profile
Our collaboration with Papirværk directly supports several of GreenTec’s sustainability principles:
- Local Recycling – No Exported Waste
Most paper waste in Denmark is either burned or sent abroad for reprocessing. By partnering with Papirværk, our paper waste is processed 100% locally in Odense, reducing transport needs and lowering associated CO₂ emissions.
- Circular Products from Our Own Waste
Papirværk transforms paper waste into new items such as cards, flyers, certificates, and other flat paper products, all made from 100% recycled paper without added chemicals or virgin fibres.
- Support for Danish Craftsmanship and Production
All products are handcrafted in Denmark, combining traditional techniques with modern circular thinking. This helps preserve local craftsmanship while reducing reliance on resource-heavy industrial processes.
