Klaus Hofbauer works for the municipal in Niederwaldkirchen, a market town in the Mühlviertel district of Rohrbach. The town’s 26 km² area is covered by an extensive road network. As one of three employees, Hofbauer is responsible, among other things, for ensuring that this road network and its embankments remain clean and well maintained.
“Of course, we rely on the machines for that,” Hofbauer says right away. “For many years we used the same machine. It always served us well, but eventually it got old and simply needed to be replaced. So that’s what we did.”
Scorpion 730 Plus
It was Wolfgang Sachsenhofer from KomTech Kommunaltechnik who introduced the team in Niederwaldkirchen to the Scorpion 730 boom mower.
“We were also able to test it at Mauch,” Hofbauer explains, “and we were immediately impressed by how easy it is to operate and by the excellent visibility while driving. And since the consultation and training were also fantastic, we didn’t hesitate, we went for it, and we’ve been absolutely thrilled ever since.”
Niederwaldkirchen is also part of a shared machinery cooperative with seven other municipalities, and all seven have now used the Greentec Scorpion. This made approval for the purchase even broader.
“So far, everyone has been completely satisfied. Everyone praises how easy everything is to handle and how clear the operation is. The Scorpion truly stands out.”
