The municipality of Lengau in Austria has acquired a GreenTec Multi Carrier HXF 2802 and Quadsaw LRS 1602 for its new Weidemann 2080 skid steer loader. Six employees in the municipality are responsible for maintaining 80 km (50 miles) of roads. It is a quite time-consuming task that require professional landscaping equipment.
“My employees used to cut everything by hand which consumes an insane amount of time when you are responsible for maintaining 80 km (50 miles) of roads. Not to mention the physical exertion from manually trimming the branches,” said Erich Rippl who is the Mayor of Lengau, Austria.
The municipality decided to contact Mauch for advice which is GreenTec’s importer in Austria. After consulting Mauch a deal was quickly struck for a Weidemann skid steer loader and GreenTec hedge trimming equipment.
“An important selection criterion was the cutting result on the trees. We wanted a high-frequency saw with a nice, straight cut. The branches must not appear frayed or ripped apart. A smooth cut is more aesthetically pleasing and above all better for the plants,” said Erich Rippl.
The GreenTec Quadsaw LRS 1602 was the natural choice for the task as it leaves a beautiful cut on branches up to 12 cm (4.7”) in thickness. The blades spin at 2600-2700 rotations per minute and you can cut branches while maintaining a fast speed of 5 km/h (3.11 mph). The low noise level also makes it excellent for trimming branches near residential areas.
“We are roughly ten times faster with our new landscaping equipment so it a huge difference for us,” said Erich Rippl.
The municipality of Lengau is very pleased with doing business with GreenTec’s importer Mauch. The employees have a high level of expertise within machinery for landscaping and agriculture. The geographical distance is low and you can always rely on immediate service.
