Three municipalities in Austria have joined forces and purchased a GreenTec Scorpion 630 PLUS and Flail Mower FR 122 for maintaining verges in the sides of roads. The machines were acquired through Mauch which is the GreenTec importer in Austria.
The municipal triangle of Lichtenberg, Eidenberg and Kirchschlag has more than 7,100 inhabitants and covers almost 65 km2 ground.
“We wanted to utilize our vehicles better through the season and avoid scheduling tasks at external contractors,” explains Manfred Pichler who is head of office in Kirchschlag.
“This is how the cooperation with Eidenberg and Lichtenberg came about quickly and unbureaucratically. Numerous internet research – also in the form of YouTube videos – as well as Eidenberg’s experiences with a boom mower led to the GreenTec Scorpion and consequently to Mauch,” said Manfred Pichler
“The employees of all three municipalities have already used the device and are all very satisfied. The main task is to keep roads and paths clear of shrubs. The versatility of the device, its high-quality workmanship and the extremely quiet working mode are praised by everyone,” said Manfred Pichler.
“The collision protection is great, as well as the rotor swivel joint, because you can drive backwards. We also like the excellent overview in work mode. You can also extend the arm to the front and side next to the cabin door, so you can see the cutting area perfectly. I can recommend the Scorpion boom mower with confidence,” said Wolfgang Birngruber who is one of the municipality workers using the machine.
