Multi Carrier Series

Areas of application

The Multi Carrier series is an alternative to a traditional boom mower arm. It is not as stretchy and limber. However, the Multi Carriers truly shine at tree and hedge trimming tasks on loaders. Skid steers, front end loaders and telehandlers all have the capacity to change the cutting height of the Multi Carrier’s arm by simply lowering or lifting it from the loader’s control panel. The hydraulic cutting angle adjustment allows you to rotate the cutting angle of the attachment tools so you can cut both horizontally and vertically.

The Multi Carriers have a built-in break-back function that make the arm go backwards if too much pressure is applied from the cutting objective. This prevents overload on the machine and you can go right back to cutting again.

The Multi Carrier series is a much safer solution for tree trimming than manual pruning with a chainsaw. You can perform all activities safely within the cabin of your vehicle and do not have to break a sweat. Due to the long arm of the Multi Carriers and the forward cutting placement of the attachment tool, there is no risk of branches falling on your vehicle. The branches will simply fall to the side and in front of the vehicle. We recommend that you use either a mulcher or a grapple to remove the fallen branches from the area afterwards.

The Multi Carrier series is available in a standard and a telescopic solution. With the standard solution, the arm of the Multi Carriers is placed in a fixed position and can be manually folded back to transport position to reduce the length of the arm. However, you only have one fixed position when the arm is folded out for work tasks. The Multi Carrier Tele series has a greater work flexibility as you can extend or reduce the length of the arm hydraulically. The telescopic versions are suitable for areas with limited space, such as orchards and narrow roads.

Mounting options for the Multi Carrier series

The Multi Carrier series is available in different models: FOX, Puma 2303, Puma 2803 and Puma 3303.

The smallest model is the Multi Carrier FOX that can be front or rear mounted on tractors through the category 1 or 2 linkage system. It can also be mounted on loaders through brackets. As a standard, you can choose between a Euro bracket or universal plate. However, we have a great mixture of different brackets available for other loaders. The Multi Carrier FOX has specifically been developed to carry the Barrier Mower RI 60 & 82 and cannot carry any other attachment tools.

The Multi Carrier Puma 2303 is designed for small loaders with a minimum oil flow of 25 liters per minute (6.6 gpm). You have a wide variety of small attachment tools available for the Puma 2303 which can be used for hedge, tree, grass and weed maintenance. The highest cutting capacity is achieved by attaching the Quadsaw LRS 1402 to it. You can then cut branches up to 10 cm (3.94”) in thickness. It is a great overall solution if you need to perform tasks where there is limited space.

The Multi Carrier Puma 2803 is suitable for front end loaders and large skid steers with a minimum oil flow 40 liters per minute (10.6 gpm). It has a similar selection of attachments like the Puma 2303. However, the hedge and tree trimming tools are available in bigger models, such as the Quadsaw LRS 1602 and Cutterbar HS 172 which can cut branches up to 12 cm (4.72”) and 6 cm (2.36”) in thickness, respectively.

The Multi Carrier Puma 3303 is the biggest model in the series and is suitable for large front-end loaders, wheel loaders and telehandlers. This model is incredible powerful and give you the best conditions for tree trimming activities. You can cut branches up to 21 cm (8.27”) in thickness by combining the forces of the Quadsaw LRS 2402 and the Puma 3303! However, you cannot attach grass mowing and weed clearing tools to the Puma 3303.

We offer counterweights as optional equipment to most Multi Carrier models so you can stabilize the weight between the Multi Carrier and your vehicle.

Mounting process on loaders

The Multi Carrier series can be mounted in the brackets of the loaders. It is a quick and easy mounting process. You start by laying the Multi Carrier on the ground. Then you drive your vehicle slowly towards it and aim to pick it up with the lift arms. Once you have the lift arms positioned correctly in the bracket of the Multi Carrier, use the locking mechanism on your vehicle. Begin to lift the Multi Carrier up and angle so it is in a vertical position. Then you are ready to go.
